Moscow
Day One
Arrive into Moscow Domodedovo International Airport late afternoon and transfer to the deluxe Ritz Carlton Hotel where you will be greeted by a traditional Russian welcome with ice keys and vodka. Travel to Red Square where you will escorted to the magnificent St Basil Cathedral where you can enjoy pre-dinner cocktails. Dinner follows in the new Uzbekistan Restaurant with a great traditional atmosphere and waiters in national costume.
Day Two
Spend a fascinating morning at the Star City cosmonaut training centre - highlights include visiting the hydro laboratory, the replica of the MIR space station and the SOJUS space craft. You will also have the opportunity to experience exhilaration of zero gravity. Lunch at the Cosmonout Canteen. This afternoon you will visit Stalin’s Bunker which is part of a large underground complex, connected to the Kremlin by a 17 km speed road. The Bunker has been carefully restored according to historical data. Guests are invited to a Vodka tasting followed by dinner at the historic Café Pushkin Restaurant, located in a private 18th century mansion
Day Three
Get to know the City - guests will be divided into small groups who will be accompanied by an English speaking guide. Each group will follow navigation instructions in order to find their way around this vibrant city using different modes of transport. Each group will have lunch with a Russian family to learn more about the Moscovite way of life. A farewell dinner is served at the GQ Restaurant and Bar, one of Moscow's top night spots. Owned by Arkady Novikov, you can be sure of Russian cuisine at its best !
Day Four
This morning guests visit the Kremlin with its unique complex of architectural monuments. You will be guided though the fascinating history of this destination. Before transferring to the airport guests will enjoy a farewell lunch at the Godunov Restaurant set in a 17th century monastery.
Rio de Janeiro
Day One
Arrive into Rio de Janeiro mid-evening and transfer to the Sofitel Rio De Janeiro Copacabana Receive a VIP welcome at the hotel with cocktails and BBQ dinner at the hotel on the pool terrace, overlooking Copacabana Beach with live music.
Day Two
After breakfast take a short orientation of downtown Rio. Take a cable car to the famous landmark of Sugarloaf Mountain, stop at Urca Hill and enjoy a glass of champagne with amazing views. See Copacabana from the air, take a short panoramic flight by Helicopter. Lunch at the Porcao Restaurant with wonderful views of the Corcovado and Sugarloaf Mountain. Remainder of the afternoon at leisure. Dinner at the Churrascaria Mariu´s Carnes, one of the best restaurants in town offering traditional Brazilian dishes.
Day Three
Take a schooner and discover Sepetiba Bay, dotted with over 200 tropical islands, lunch will be served on board. A fun night at the Rio Scenarium, the city’s best samba house, located in the historical Lapa District. Excellent cuisine and the vibrant atmosphere makes this a great place to dance the night away. Guests explore the Foresta Da Tijuca by open Jeep, the largest urban reserve in the World. Lunch at the Esquilos restaurant, located in the midst of the rainforest, once owned by the Baron of Taurnay, it was the grand house of a coffee plantation in the mid 1800’s. Exclusive Gala Dinner at Vila Riso, built in the 17th century, a venue full of history dating back to the Portuguese Empire. After dinner, guests enjoy a re-creation of the Rio Carnival.
Day Four
Day at leisure to enjoy the beach, the hotel, go shopping, play golf or take an optional tour before departing the hotel early evening for the homebound flight.
